SwapETH.org Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SwapETH.org handles information connected with the website, exchange orders, support requests and related service functions. The public service identity is SwapETH.org, operating under the display name SwapETH Service.
For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to information processed when a user:
- visits SwapETH.org;
- creates or uses an exchange order;
- enters a payout address or other order details;
- contacts SwapETH Support;
- sends a privacy, compliance or security request;
- uses Ethereum tools or other site functions that generate service-side request data.
Public blockchain information is discussed separately because blockchain records are not controlled by SwapETH.org in the same way as ordinary website data.
Information You Provide
Depending on how the service is used, information supplied directly by a user can include:
- an email address used for support or another request;
- the content of a support, privacy, compliance or security message;
- an order ID;
- source and destination asset or network details;
- a destination wallet address;
- a source transaction hash;
- other information voluntarily included in a request.
Users should not provide seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords or other credentials that can control a wallet. Those credentials are not required for normal SwapETH.org support or order processing.
Order and Transaction Information
An exchange order can require operational information needed to create, monitor and complete the route. This can include the selected send and receive assets, blockchain networks, amount, destination address, quote or route details, order status and public transaction identifiers associated with the transfer.
This information is used to operate the exchange workflow, identify the relevant order, process the payout, handle support and perform risk-based transaction screening.
The exact information required can vary by route and by the live order conditions.
Public Blockchain Data
Blockchain addresses, transaction hashes, amounts and transaction history can be visible on public blockchain networks independently of SwapETH.org.
When a user sends or receives cryptocurrency through a public blockchain, related on-chain data can become part of a distributed ledger that SwapETH.org does not control. A request to delete information held by the website does not remove a transaction from a public blockchain or from independent blockchain explorers and infrastructure providers.
Technical Service Data
Website and service infrastructure can generate technical information needed to deliver requests, prevent abuse, diagnose errors and maintain security. The exact technical fields depend on the infrastructure and security systems actually used by the service.
SwapETH.org should not be understood to use a particular analytics, advertising or tracking platform unless that implementation is separately disclosed. If additional analytics, advertising or non-essential cookie technologies are enabled, the privacy disclosures should be updated to match the actual implementation.
Why Information Is Processed
Information can be processed for the following purposes:
- creating and operating exchange orders;
- sending the cryptocurrency payout to the destination supplied for an order;
- checking order and blockchain status;
- responding to support requests;
- preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- performing risk-based transaction screening and compliance review;
- investigating service errors or disputes;
- protecting SwapETH.org, its users and service infrastructure;
- responding to applicable legal or regulatory requests where required;
- maintaining records needed for operational, security or compliance purposes.
Information should not be collected or retained merely because it could be useful later when it is not connected with a legitimate service purpose.
Transaction Screening and Additional Verification
Eligible swaps can begin without a persistent trading account, but SwapETH.org applies risk-based transaction screening.
When a transaction requires additional review, information may be requested to understand the transaction, source of funds, destination or another relevant risk factor. Additional verification is not automatically required for every order, and the exact request depends on the circumstances.
See the AML Policy for the transaction-screening framework.
Service Providers and Processors
SwapETH.org can rely on third-party infrastructure or service providers where needed to operate the website and exchange workflow. Depending on the implementation, these can include hosting or infrastructure providers, email or support systems, blockchain infrastructure, liquidity or exchange-route providers, security systems and compliance services.
Information should be shared only to the extent needed for the relevant service function, legal obligation, security purpose or transaction review.
This policy does not name a provider that has not been confirmed as part of the actual implementation.
Retention
SwapETH.org does not state one universal retention period for every type of information.
Information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, including order operation, support, security, dispute handling, compliance and applicable record-keeping requirements.
Different categories can therefore have different retention periods. Information that is no longer required should be deleted or otherwise handled according to the service's applicable operational and legal requirements.
Public blockchain data is outside this retention model because it can remain on the relevant blockchain independently of SwapETH.org.
Security
SwapETH.org uses operational and technical measures intended to protect service information from unauthorized access, misuse or loss. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users can reduce avoidable risk by:
- keeping wallet-control credentials private;
- checking that they are using the correct SwapETH.org service page;
- verifying wallet addresses before sending information or funds;
- avoiding unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.
Security issues involving SwapETH.org can be reported to [email protected].
Privacy Requests
Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Depending on the request and applicable requirements, a user can ask about information associated with their interaction with the service and request access, correction or deletion where applicable.
SwapETH.org may need enough information to identify the relevant support interaction or order and to verify that a request is legitimate. A request cannot require the service to alter or erase a transaction that has already been recorded on a public blockchain, and some records may need to be retained where operational, security, compliance or legal requirements apply.
Legal and Compliance Requests
SwapETH.org can preserve or disclose information when reasonably required to respond to an applicable legal process, protect the service or users, investigate misuse, enforce service restrictions or meet compliance obligations.
The scope of any response should be limited to what is relevant to the applicable request or obligation.
Children's Data
SwapETH.org is not designed as a service for children. Users must meet any age and legal-capacity requirements that apply to their use of cryptocurrency services in their jurisdiction.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy can be updated when the service, data flows, technology or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page should be updated when a revised version is published.
Material implementation changes should be reflected in the policy rather than leaving outdated statements in place.
